The Sussex Brain Bus
The Sussex Brain Bus is both a working Stagecoach bus and a moving exhibition shining a light on the latest dementia research and sharing tips on how to reduce your risk of Alzheimer's disease.
The Sussex Brain Bus is the brainchild of two dementia researchers at the University of Sussex, Sarah King and Claire Lancaster, and local artist Daniel Locke.
With Alzheimer’s Research UK Inspire funding, we ran workshops in the local community to talk about dementia research, start a conversation about how to promote healthy brain ageing, and get inspiration for the messaging and artwork on the bus.
Happy heart, healthy head.
The bus was featured as part of the International Festival of Neuroscience, held in Brighton in 2023.
